Set in the very heart of Edinburgh City Centre and only a 5 minute walk from Waverley Train Station, The Merchants’ Hall is perfectly placed for all of your business event needs. Ideal for larger conferences and receptions, and smaller seminars and networking events, The Merchants’ Hall team will work with you whatever the brief to create the perfect event.
This unique venue combines both history and character, whilst being equipped with all of the necessary facilities that you may require for your event. We work with a regular, trusted AV supplier and offer a large selection of hireable equipment. Our venue hire prices also come with free Wi-Fi included, and a selection of free in house equipment such as tables, chairs and microphones.
The Hall is a wonderfully spacious and versatile room, which can hold a maximum of 150 theatre style or 96 cabaret style. We can also host fabulous receptions in The Hall for a maximum of 200 guests. With the fantastic domed ceiling letting in plenty of light during the day and our evening lighting illuminating our fantastic host of artworks and sculptures at night, The Hall is the perfect space for your guests to work, mix and mingle whenever your event.
The Court Room and adjoining Crush Hall upstairs is the ideal space for your catering requirements for larger meetings. This space can also be hired as a meeting space for smaller seminars and events. With large windows and stunning views of the surrounding galleries this space makes for an inspirational setting for your event.
The venue is fully accessible with access ramps, lift and accessible toilet facilities. We also have a cloakroom, which can be manned by your chosen catering company. Entry to the building is secure access and your event will be manned by a dedicated concierge and The Merchants’ Hall events team. We also have a registration area in the main foyer and full kitchen facilities that can be used by any of our approved caterers.
The Merchants’ Hall is also a fabulous location for Christmas Parties and many of our fantastic caterers offer special winter catering packages to suit every style and budget.
